Professional decorators offer consumers a chance to live in a more beautiful home without the stress of dealing with paint colors and furniture choices. Many Americans are not aware of the great benefits of hiring a professional decorator or assume that having a professionally decorated home is a luxury reserved for the wealthy.  Décor&You works on behalf of franchisees to educate consumers about the benefits of professional decorating and to make franchisees more attractive to potential clients. To this end, Décor&You recently partnered with Certified Interior Decorators International (CIDI) in a first-of-its-kind agreement to certify the franchise’s national training curriculum and its decorators.

Investment Required

The fee for a Décor&You franchise ranges from $25,000 to $50,000 for territory with a population between 20,000 and100,000.  Additional population rights can be purchased for $0.45 per person.  Regional and territory director franchises are also available for a higher fee.

Décor&You provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced.

On-going Expenses

Décor&You franchisees pay a royalty fee equal to 10% of gross revenue with an additional marketing contribution equal to 3% of gross revenue.

What You Get—Training and Support

Décor&You provides initial training based on collegiate semester formats, culminating in National Professional Certification granted by Certified Interior Decorators International.  Training is conducted in Southbury, CT and at the franchisee’s location and covers media planning, marketing, design style and

theory, design lab, product knowledge, business management and certification preparation. 

All Décor&You franchisees are also provided with a Start-up Support Package of services, including an initial public relations program, set-up of DecorNet™ space (intranet), web access training, and e-mail marketing program set-up.  Additionally, Décor&You provides ongoing assistance with marketing materials, technical support and periodic support visits.
