Investment Required The fee for a Carvel franchise is $30,000.
Carvel provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced.
On-Going Expenses The franchisee pays a continuing royalty of $1.82 per liquid gallon of mix purchased for a full store, with a minimum annual payment of $11,820. The franchisee also pays advertising contribution fees of $1.62 per liquid gallon, with a minimum annual payment of $10,530.
What You Get�Training and Support Tom Carvel founded the Carvel College of Ice Cream Knowledge in 1949. Also known as the �Sundae School,� it continues to educate new franchisees about operating their own Carvel franchise. Carvel also provides ongoing field training, on-site assistance with store openings, regular consultation visits (up to three a year), business analyses and quality control inspections.
Carvel also offers support in local marketing, public relations and site selection, as well as a toll-free helpline to handle any other franchisee queries.
Territory Carvel does not grant exclusive territories.
