Established in 1926, Maid-Rite has been serving up America’s favorite loose meat sandwiches for longer than any other quick serve restaurant chain has even been in business. This signature sandwich – made from fresh ground beef, seasoned to perfection and served on a warm bun – is the flagship of Maid-Rite’s well-loved menu, which also includes Broaster Chicken, Home-Style Pizza and Blue Bunny soft-serve ice cream.  The Maid-Rite menu is also affordable, with an average customer ticket size of $6.75. Maid-Rite boasts a proven track record of more than 83 years and customer loyalty to its one-of-a-kind Maid-Rite sandwich.

Maid-Rite has seen spectacular success and high growth in the last several years, retaining strong brand identity across the central and southwest United States. With recently updated 50s-style décor, Maid-Rite plans to use this store design and its unique menu offerings to propel the brand into national growth, bringing Maid-Rite’s famous loose-meat sandwich to all corners of the country through successful franchising.


Investment Required

The fee for a Maid-Rite franchise is $35,000.

Maid-Rite provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced.


On-going Expenses

Maid-Rite franchisees pay royalty fees equal to 4% of gross revenues, advertising fees and expenses equal to 2% of gross revenues and required local advertising and promotional expenditures equal to 1% of gross revenues.

What You Get—Training and Support

New franchisees attend Maid-Rite University, where they are educated on all aspects of managing and operating their restaurant successfully. Maid-Rite’s all-encompassing educational program is comprised of six to ten days of actual on-the-job experience at Training Center Restaurants and classroom training at corporate headquarters in Des Moines, IA. Classroom training includes topics such as customer service and food preparation, while on-the-job training consists of serving customers in a real restaurant.

As part of the franchise fee, Maid-Rite prepares the floor plan documents for the restaurant and drive-thru. Maid-Rite also trains employees on-site at the franchisee’s restaurant before and during opening.  Ongoing support includes advertising and promotions support, advanced seminars and training and inventory management. 

Territory

Maid-Rite grants exclusive territories to franchisees signing an Area Development Agreement.
