What You Get—Training
and Support
PostNet’s
comprehensive, three-step training program includes 8 days of classroom
training, on-site training in the store up to and through opening and a
follow-up training visit approximately 60-90 days later.
Specifically,
franchisees work with PostNet’s commercial real estate department to identify
the best location, considering more than 20 factors, including demographics,
traffic patterns and counts, physical attributes and competition. PostNet
offers franchisees a complete development package that includes construction
management, modular store fixtures, interior partitions, painting and carpeting,
interior and exterior signage, initial inventory and supplies, an equipment
package and a store-management system – a fully integrated point-of-sale system
that manages sales, credit card transactions, inventory and mailboxes and
processes domestic and international shipments. To assist in marketing, it also
includes a customer database.
After
the opening, PostNet’s support department – accessible by phone – can answer
questions, provide advice and monitor the achievement of financial goals. Field
support is not only provided during the initial set-up phase, but also as
necessary as the business matures. In addition, PostNet maintains an online
franchisee network. Additional training is offered through online programs and
workshops at the annual convention and regional meetings.
