Industry Focus: A New Kind of Fast Food

It's not difficult to understand why the make-and-take gourmet meal industry is taking off. It takes time, money and energy to pick a recipe, come up with the correct ingredients in their correct quantities, and put it all together before the family gets home. Even then, there's the added stress of wondering "Did it come out right? Do they like it? Was this a good choice?"

Make-and-take gourmet food franchises minimize those stresses while providing a fun, friendly atmosphere in which you can prepare scrumptious meals. The franchisor's outlet is stocked with all the ingredients necessary to prepare any item on its changing menu, and you are given clear instruction and guidance throughout preparation. Culinary sessions generally consist of ten to fifteen customers preparing six to twelve dishes each during a two to four hour period. Imagine not having to worry about dinner for nearly two weeks!

Every make-and-take franchise is different, from menu selection to cost per session. Fifteen recent entrants into the industry are noted below.
