AmeriSpec Home Inspection Service

AmeriSpec Home Inspection Service conducts home inspections for homeowners, prospective homeowners and realtors. Inspections cover more than 400 areas in the home and all adhere to AmeriSpecs Standards of Excellence. Their goal is to provide the most complete home inspection. Proprietary software such as the AmeriSpec Home Inspector and tools such as the AmeriSpec Report facilitate the process of preparing reports for clients.

AmeriSpec carries out more than 150,000 inspections a year from more than 360 locations in North America, and has completed more than 1.5 million since 1987.  Part of the extensive ServiceMaster network, AmeriSpec franchisees benefit from financial assistance from the ServiceMaster Acceptance Company, as well as other services.

Investment Required
The fee for an initial AmeriSpec franchise is $29,900.

AmeriSpec provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced.

On-Going Expenses
The franchisee pays an ongoing earned service fee of 7% of gross receipts (minimum of $250 per month) and an advertising contribution fee equaling 3% of gross receipts (minimum of $125 per month).

What You GetTraining and Support
During pre-training, franchisees are introduced to an AmeriSpec Business Consultant who will support them as they go through the process of opening an AmeriSpec franchise. Study materials will be provided and pre-training objectives will be established for the franchisee to fulfill.

Franchisees then go through the AmeriSpec Management Institute with two weeks of training at the AmeriSpec Training Center in Memphis, Tennessee. The first weeks instruction details the steps taken in conducting a home inspection, in addition to how to format, prepare and present a report to clients and use AmeriSpec Home Inspector software. Franchisees practice inspections on a full-scale and fully working model of a home and learn to apply AmeriSpecs Standards of Excellence. The second week covers the marketing and managing aspects of the franchise, providing computer, software and Internet setup and training. Franchisees also learn how to analyze their own markets needs, formulate marketing strategies, manage daily operations, determine pricing and create short- and long-term business plans.

Take-home materials are also provided, such as the AmeriSpec Smart Start program, a helpful outline of the steps a franchisee should take from week to week that helps franchisees avoid common mistakes. The AmeriSpec Home Study System expands the franchisees knowledge of the home through ten modules that contain 4,000 pages of text, 1,500 illustrations and over 17 hours of video.

Territory

AmeriSpec grants Standard territories encompassing approximately 4,000 annual residential real estate transactions and Alternate territories encompassing approximately 1,000 to 2,000 annual real estate transactions.
