Franchisees also gain lucrative opportunities through working with other ServiceMaster Clean Disaster Restoration franchisees. As part of the ServiceMaster network, Furniture Medic helped serve more than 12.5 million customers in 2004.

 

Investment Required
The fee for an initial Furniture Medic franchise is $24,500.

Furniture Medic provides the following range of investments required to open your initial franchise. The range assumes that all items are paid for in cash. To the extent that you choose to finance any of these expense items, your front-end investment could be substantially reduced.

 

On-Going Expenses
The franchisee pays an ongoing royalty fee equal to the greater of $250 per month or 7% gross sales and a national advertising fund fee equal to the greater of $50 per month or 1% of gross sales.

What You Get�Training and Support
Furniture Medic provides an exhaustive three-week course to prepare franchisees for business ownership, opening their store and the National Service Academy. Two weeks of training follow at the National Service Academy. Three to four months after graduation, franchisees receive an additional week of training to further assess and hone technical skills, business plans, marketing and record keeping.
 
The franchisee fee covers the costs of all necessary tools, supplies, equipment, products and cases required for a Furniture Medic franchise, as well as helpful tools such as a notebook computer with proprietary software and management programs.
